Larijani says he will convey message of friendship to Bahrain

TEHRAN– Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on Tuesday said during his trip to Bahrain he will convey Iran’s message of friendship to the people of the Arab country.

“Bahrain is a friendly and brotherly country…I hope this trip would pave the way for better relations between the Islamic Republic and Bahrain,” Larijani told reporters ahead of his trip to Manama.
He said during his one-day visit, he will hold talks with the Bahrain’s King, crown prince, prime minister, the speakers of parliament and senate, and other Bahraini senior officials.
Larijani said his trip takes place at the invitation of Bahraini parliament speaker in order to discuss the latest regional developments with the neighboring country.
“The situation of the region requires us to confer with the regional states.”
He said, “We share many political, historical, economic, social, and cultural affinities” with Bahrain
